Lab Portal¶
The digital bridge between photographers and print labs.
The Lab Portal is Lenzeye's end-to-end digital workflow system for the photographer-to-lab pipeline. It replaces the pen drive, the WhatsApp message, and the phone call with a structured, trackable, digital order system.
The Problem It Solves¶
Today, sending an album for printing in India works like this:
- Photographer edits the album on their computer
- Copies files to a pen drive or Google Drive
- Drives to the lab or sends a WhatsApp message with a link
- Waits for the lab to confirm receipt manually
- Client calls repeatedly asking "is my album ready?"
Lenzeye Lab Portal replaces this entire chain with a digital, tracked workflow.
How It Works¶

A[Photographer creates\nprint order] --> B[Uploads album files\ndigitally to lab]
B --> C[Lab receives order\nwith all details]
C --> D[Lab processes\nand prints]
D --> E[Status updated:\nReady / Delivered]
E --> F[Client checks status\nvia public link]
Key Features¶
| Feature | Detail |
|---|---|
| Digital order creation | Photographer creates print orders with full details |
| File upload to lab | Album files uploaded directly via Lenzeye — no pen drive |
| Order tracking | Status: Pending → Files Downloaded → Print Ready → Out for Delivery → Delivered |
| Public status link | Client can track their order status without logging in |
| PIN-protected lab access | Lab has a unique PIN and Lab ID — no password complexity |
| Print types | Album, single prints, custom formats |
| Client details | Name, email, mobile, event name, event date captured per order |
Print Order Fields¶
| Field | Description |

Order Status Flow¶

B --> C[Print Ready]
C --> D[Out for Delivery\nor Pickup Ready]
D --> E[Delivered]
Each status transition is timestamped. The client's public status link reflects the current state in real time.
Access Model¶
- Lab owner — gets a unique
lab_idand 4-digitlab_pin, granted by admin - Photographer — submits orders to a specific lab by Lab ID
- Client — tracks order status via a public link, no account required
- Admin — grants lab portal access to qualifying labs
Current Status¶
The Lab Portal is live. Labs with portal access can receive and manage print orders digitally. The photographer upload workflow and order status tracking are fully functional.
